Bulgaria:

Both countries offer a mix of historical sites, natural beauty, and cultural experiences. Transportation options are available for traveling between the two.

Day 1: Arrive Sofia

Upon arrival at the Sofia airport, you will be transferred to the hotel.  Sofia is a dynamic Eastern European capital, distinguished by its unique combination of European and Communist-style architecture as well as many beautiful orthodox churches. Rest of the day is free for leisure. 
Overnight in Sofia.

Day 2: Sofia

Today, proceed for city tour of Sofia. Visit Alexander Nevski Cathedral, one of the biggest cathedrals from the Balkans, St Sofia Church the Rotunda of Saint George with medieval paintings, National Archeological Museum, Banya Bashi Mosque, St. Nedelya – old metropolitan church, National Theatre, former Royal Palace and National Assembly Square. Later free time at leisure or you can do an optional excursion to Rila monastery (UNESCO site). Overnight in Sofia. (B)

Day 3: Sofia – Veliko Tarnovo – Bucharest (400 kms approx 6 hrs)

Today, depart for Romania. Enroute stop in Veliko Tarnovo, the medieval capital of Bulgaria to see Tsaravets Fortress, the Byzantine Citadel - one of Bulgaria's most famous monuments. Stroll through Tarnovo's medieval old town, where you can enjoy a drink at any of the side walk cafes. Later continue to Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. Overnight in Bucharest. (B)

Day 4: Bucharest

After breakfast proceed for city tour starting at Victoria Street, the oldest boulevard in Bucharest, Triumph Arch, Revolution Square walk through the old centre with the narrow streets full of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs and in the evening the best clubbing area in the South – Eastern Europe. See Romanian Athenaeum, the former Royal Palace and the People’s Palace (exterior) – the second largest building in the world after the Pentagon, with its original purpose to be Ceausescu’s residence. Later evening is free at leisure.

Day 5: Bucharest – Sinaia – Bran – Bucharest (360 km– aprox. 5 hrs)

Today after breakfast proceed to Transylvania on a very picturesque route through Carpathian Mountains and discover two of the most beautiful Romanian castles. First stop is at Peles Castle, the summer residence of the Romanian Royal family. Later, see the Bran Castle serving for ages as a military fortress controlling the entry route to Transylvania and it is nowadays frequently associated with Dracula"s myth. Overnight in Bucharest. (B)

Day 6: Depart Bucharest

Today you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight back home or to your next destination. (B)
