La Tomatina is a festival that is held in the Valencian town of Buñol, in the East of Spain 30 kilometres from the Mediterranean, in which participants throw tomatoes and get involved in a tomato fight purely for entertainment purposes.

Day 1: ARRIVAL TO MADRID

Arrival and meet your private driver, who will be waiting for you right at the outside gate with a sign on your name for your transfer. Day 2: MADRID

Today proceed to discover in this walking tour the most emblematic buildings from the Renaissance and Baroque period of Madrid. Habsburg is the name given to Madrid when the Habsburg dynasty reigned in Spain. This reign began with Charles I, who enriched the city with palaces and monuments. Later on, Philip II made it the capital of Spain and the city grew dramatically. The journey through the Renaissance and Baroque style buildings of this era is perhaps one of the most picturesque and representative of Madrid. During the tour, we will stop at one of the most emblematic Cafés of this popular area of Madrid, where you will be offered a drink. The Royal Palace was built in the XVIII century upon the ancient Baroque Italian style fortress of the Habsburg. It is one of the most beautiful and best preserved palaces in Europe and a symbol of the permanence and consolidation of Madrid as the capital of the Kingdom. The Palace was the official residence of the Spanish Monarchy from 1765 to 1931. To date, the most stunning receptions of the Spanish Crown are celebrated here: audiences, dinner parties, signature of agreements and the traditional ceremony of presentation of Credential Letters from foreign ambassadors to His Majesty the King. Day 3: DISCOVER TOLEDO

Take a train and head to Toledo, one of the Spanish cities with the greatest wealth of monuments. Known as the “city of the three cultures”, because Christians, Arabs and Jews lived together there for centuries, behind its walls Toledo preserves an artistic and cultural legacy in the form of churches, palaces, fortresses, mosques and synagogues. This great diversity of artistic styles makes the old quarter of the capital of Castile - La Mancha a real open-air museum, which has led to it being declared a World Heritage Site. Day 4: MADRID - VALENCIA

Free morning and afternoon at leisure. Take a high speed train to Valencia, a city that has been able to harmoniously combine the remnants of its farthest past, dating to the year 138 BC, with the most innovative and avant-garde buildings from the new millennium. Valencia is trade and culture, cinema, theatre, museums, magic, business. It is the centre of international and avant-garde design, and one of the most active cities in Europe regarding fairs and conferences.In the afternoon, enjoy a pleasant guided bike tour around Valencia. The bicycle ride will take you to the Turia Gardens, the historic old quarter and the futuristic science and culture complex known as La Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias. The tour is conducted through parks and gardens and along bike paths and pedestrian streets making it a safe and easy option. Overnight at the hotel in Valencia. (B)

Day 5: LA TOMATINA EXPERIENCE (29th of August)

Today is a day! Make your way to the railway station: at 08.30 am your local bus will be waiting for you to take you to Buñol among many other fellow travellers ready to throw tons of tomatoes! Arrival in Buñol and jump into a tomato tide. After la Tomatina, our Tour Guide will take you to the municipal showers and to the Fun Zone with musical entertainment. After this amazing experience, your local bus will take you back to Valencia. Afternoon at leisure and Overnight at the hotel in Valencia. (B)

Day 6: VALENCIA - BARCELONA

Take a high speed train to Barcelona, a Mediterranean and cosmopolitan city with Roman remains, medieval quarters and the most beautiful examples of 20th century Modernism and avant-garde. It is no surprise that emblematic constructions by the Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Doménech i Montaner have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Check in at the hotel and afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Barcelona. (B)

Day 7: BARCELONA

We will take you know one of the Antoni Gaudi ?s treasures: the Sagrada Familia. The famous architect Antoni Gaudí, one of the greatest innovators of his time worked and lived Barcelona has left behind numerous treasures for the discerning tourist to discover in Barcelona. The Sagrada Familia is one of the most visited buildings in the world. We will visit the astonishing interior of this church, where vaults reach seventy meters. Antoni Gaudí designed a Latin cross plan with five aisles, extremely rich in ornamentation and symbolism. We will also visit the Sagrada Familia museum, where you will see drawings, plaster models and pictures about the history and development of this basilica from its early beginnings to the present day. The museum will also give valuable information about Antoni Gaudi ?s life and career. You will not find any park like Park Güell in the world! This architectural marvel, created in the middle of nature by Antoni Gaudí, was commissioned by Count Güell, who wanted him to design an elegant estate with family homes. Today it is a public park and it belongs to the city's heritage. It has been declared UNESCO ?s World heritage site and is just another marvel that awaits you on your visit to Barcelona. During the visit to Park Güell, we will enter by the big staircase dominated by the dragon decorated with mosaic of ceramic tiles, the Catalan style known as ? ?trencadís ? ?. This dragon is one of the most characteristic images of Barcelona. Originally written Park Güell (using the English spelling), the park is arranged around a large central square bordered by a snaking, ? ?trencadís ? ?-covered bench. Below the square, the roof is supported by 86 Doric columns, like trees, with paths between them, and viaducts on sloping columns: Gaudí's work, like no other, unites nature and architecture. In Park Güell there is also a small house where Gaudí lived in an era of his life. The house has converted in a museum and contains interesting furniture also designed for Gaudí. (Not included). Day 8: BARCELONA - MONTSERRAT

Start your half day trip from Barcelona in a comfortable Bus to the mountain of Montserrat which rises majestically to 4,051 feet (1,236 meter). The rocks of Montserrat were formed by natural cement of sand during the centuries. The wind and rain shaped the mountain with strange and varied forms. You will visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, which holds the famous 12th century Romanesque carving of Verge Moreneta (the Black Madonna). You will be able to see this famous statue of the Black Madonna from a distance. The Benedict sanctuary of Montserrat has been founded in 1025 and provides a mystical backdrop for the Virgin of Montserrat, the patron saint of Catalonia who is enshrined in the monastery ?s Royal Basilica. Day 9: DEPART BARCELONA

Check out and meet with your driver, who will be waiting for you in your hotel and take you to the airport for your flight back home. (B)
